Senior Print/Web Designer
We are looking for a Hybrid designer that can design for both print and web. Expertise in digital design and commercial arts is a must. Ability to design beautiful catalogs, magazines, brochures and website interfaces is also a must.
Responsibilities:
 Design and develop cutting edge design from start to finish.
Work with clients and marketing team to gather and manage assets for production.
Collaborate with printers for final upload of print files
Ensuring all design projects are well scoped and delivered on-time to desired specifications; adhering to IMC standards
Sourcing and maintaining images/illustrations for various design projects
Design all print materials from start to finish using adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design.
Design and develop web pages using Adobe Photoshop, Image ready, Dreamweaver and Flash.
Requirements:
Media Arts/Graphic Design Post-secondary education or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
2-5 years print & web design experience
Superior skills using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, ImageReady, Dreamweaver & Flash.
Ability to hand code HTML and use Dreamweaver for building websites
Basic knowledge of Java and action scripting a plus
Experience with sending files via FTP to Printers
Experience in configuring and setting up Print files
Capable of creating user friendly/aesthetically pleasing websites
Search Engine Optimization and online advertising experience a plus
Ability to conceptualize a project and carry it through to the finished stage
Ability to design web layout/navigation based on understanding online user experience
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills; able to meet tight deadlines
Attention to detail; excellent trouble-shooting/problem solving abilities
Excellent verbal communication skills
A proven ability to learn new information quickly
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desire to work in a fast-paced, success-driven environment
Experience working in a marketing or e-commerce background is an asset
